Our consultants don't just read from a manual — many have spent careers in the fire service as firefighters, captains, fire marshals and emergency-services professionals, and they bring that experience straight to your staff.

He is certified with Hazardous Materials and City of LA Incident Management, and is a state-certified Paramedic and Certified Fire Instructor.
We are very blessed and excited to have Frank join our family.

As a Firefighter II his duties included not only being a first responder but also rescue, prevention and public education. Towards the end of his career he was an Inspector with the Bureau of Fire Prevention & Public Safety, conducting fire-safety inspections of buildings and property, which included movie and production lots.

Kelly spent his whole career in the fire service, which began with a four-year tour of duty with the United States Marine Corps. Kelly was an aircraft firefighter at El Toro Air Station and attended Santa Ana College on his off days, earning his AA degree and his EMT certification.
After his service time, Kelly worked for two small departments in the cities of El Toro and Stanton. In 1980 he landed his dream job with the Los Angeles Fire Department and worked there for 36 years, holding the ranks of Firefighter, Engineer, Captain I and Captain II. On his off days, Kelly is involved with softball with his daughter and enjoys time with family.
Sergio started working with Fire Safety Service, Inc. in 2017. Before coming to FSS, Sergio was with the San Diego Fire Department for 30 years. Of those 30 years, 22 were in fire prevention. He retired as a Deputy Fire Marshal and, since 2009, has been a fire-science instructor.
Not only has he been successful in the fire department, but in life as well. He has been married for most of his adult life to the same wonderful woman, has two grown daughters, a set of teenage twin boys and six grandchildren — and a Harley. Can't forget the Harley!
Michael started with Fire Safety Service, Inc. in February of 2016. Before FSS he was a career firefighter for 39 years, retiring as Captain — to this day, many people who knew him in the fire department still call him Captain White. He is not only serious but passionate in the field of fire and disaster training and safety, and it shows in his work.
The last 10 years of his fire career were in the Inspections Department, where he supervised other officers in the art of inspection, enforcement and maintenance for life and safety hazards, and final-approval inspections on hospitals, sanitariums, nursing homes, residential care facilities, jails, prisons, schools, daycare centers and churches. He also helped implement policies and procedures for non-ambulatory day-care facilities, schools and universities, and Los Angeles Unified School District crisis planning, lockdown and shelter-in-place.
A few of his special assignments included certifying the opening of Los Angeles County Hospital, the Emergency Operation Center Region 1 Homeland Security, setting up and managing three town hall meetings for President Obama, and managing two Democratic conventions. In his spare time, he loves to work on his house and spend time with his family.
Byron is a first for Fire Safety Service, Inc. Not only does he come highly recommended by Addison (who watched him grow up), Byron is our first law officer to join our family, having served as a Deputy Sheriff for four years.
Byron holds three degrees, ranging from an Associate's to a Bachelor's and a Master's. He has proven himself a huge asset in the business, supervisory and leadership realms of life, and has proven himself very competent and outgoing alongside one of our most experienced consultants — passing with excellence.
In his spare time he volunteers at his church and various non-profit organizations, rides his Harley with his wife, does fitness and nutrition coaching, and hangs out with his family. We are very excited to have Byron in our family!

He decided a career in public safety was his calling. He entered the San Francisco Police Academy and completed the seven months. He had a field assignment when the San Francisco Fire Department called. He left the police department and, 26 years later, has never looked back. He is an Incident Support Specialist with the San Francisco Fire Department, assisting his Battalion Chief at one of the busiest battalions in the country — covering five fire houses, 10 rigs, two special units and about 32 members each day.
